Top data center jobs for May include two SVP sales roles on the West Coast, and a series of engineering roles open on the East coast.

SVP of Sales – Data Center Colocation
Seattle, Wash.
This position is with a firm that provides a complete lifecycle of solutions that are custom-fit to the requirements of their client’s mission-critical facilities. Responsibilities include supporting the region and pursuing sales opportunities to attract customers for their data center colocation environment and product offerings, including disaster recovery, among other duties. This position requires 15 or more years of relevant data center sales experience. 

SVP of Sales – Data Center Colocation
San Francisco, Calif. 
This opportunity is with a company that helps improve the reliability and operations of mission-critical data center facilities for many of the world’s largest companies. The chosen candidate will call on established clients and prospecting for new accounts among high-potential mission critical data center end-users, hire, develop and manage sales team, prepare proposals and more. This position also requires 15 or more years of experience in the data center sales field.

Senior Electrical Commissioning Engineer
Severn, Md.
The company offering this position provides  commissioning, consulting and management expertise in the data center and mission critical facilities space with the mindset to provide reliability, energy efficiency, and sustainability when providing these consulting services. The chosen candidate will manage projects, plans, provide and gather specifications, and execute assignments in a multidisciplinary engineering commissioning role for large facility projects. This position requires 10-15 or more years of experience in the electrical field. A Bachelor’s or associates degree in electrical engineering is a plus.

Electrical Commissioning Engineer
Bridgewater, N.J.
This position is with a leader in critical facilities assessment and commissioning services in the U.S. The position’s responsibilities include managing projects, plans, provide and gather specifications, and executing assignments in a multidisciplinary engineering commissioning role for large facility projects. Verticals covered include government, commercial, financial services, hospitals, or institutional in large/complex facilities and mission critical facilities. This position requires five to 10 or more years of experience in the electrical field.

Data Center Construction Project Manager – Owners Rep
Chicago, Ill.
This opportunity is with a leading provider of mission-critical data center construction services.  This firm provides a complete life cycle of solutions that are custom-fit to the requirements of their client’s mission-critical facilities. Responsibilities include maintaining liaison with various contractors and vendors in order to manage the day-to-day activities  that impact the delivery of company’s critical facilities construction projects and ensuring that all day to day project responsibilities are met by the contractors and vendors on the project. Requirements include experience managing data center construction projects as an owner or as a general contractor, and a minimum of seven to 10 years of relevant experience in the data center construction industry.

The company builds mission-critical data center facilities as well as labs and clean rooms for companies nationwide. This position requires experience managing data center construction projects from the ground up, as well as solid project management construction experience. Responsibilities include planning and organizing large scale data center construction projects, putting together critical facilities construction project plans, establishing project objectives and more.

Ashburn, Va.
This opportunity is with a company located in Data Center Alley that provides services that support data center power within all electrical aspects of the data center.  The firm is looking for an EMN, MMN, or ETN to transition into a Data Center Power Systems Engineer role to support critical data center clients. Responsibilities include troubleshooting and running diagnostics, conducting preventive maintenance and emergency repairs, and more. This position requires six or more years of relevant experience.

UPS Field Service Technician
San Jose, Calif.
This job opportunity is with a leader in third-party installs, corrective and preventive maintenance of mission critical facilities, and requires three to five or more years of experience in the field and ability to troubleshoot down to component level on equipment such as UPS, batteries, PDU’s, STS, and more.
The new hire will be responsible for commissioning, maintaining and providing emergency support on power electronics at customers’ sites within their respective regional coverage area, and will perform commissioning focused design reviews, prepares commissioning test procedures and reports, coordinates and oversees on-site testing, among other duties.

Electrical Engineer
New York, N.Y.
This New York City opportunity is with an engineering design and commissioning company that provides design, commissioning consulting and management expertise in the data center space.  The new hire will create designs and plans, provided and gather specifications, and execute assignments in a multidisciplinary electrical engineering design role for small to medium sized data center facility design projects. Three to seven years of experience is required.
