RESTON, Va. — Data Center Frontier has announced the keynote speaker lineup for the second annual Data Center Frontier Trends Summit, taking place August 26-28, 2025 at the Hyatt Regency Reston in Reston, Virginia. This year for the first time, the DCF Trends Summit will feature daily keynote presentations that explore the future of digital infrastructure through the lens of leadership, innovation, and operational insight.

This keynote series features respected voices from across the data center landscape—all of whom serve on the Data Center Frontier Editorial Advisory Board. Their participation reflects the Summit’s focus on grounded expertise and the real-world trends shaping the industry.

“As we introduce keynote presentations to the Trends Summit for the first time, we felt it was important to begin with trusted leaders from our own community,” said Matt Vincent, Editor-in-Chief of Data Center Frontier. “These are executives who have not only led with vision but consistently delivered meaningful results across technology, operations, and innovation.”

Keynote Presentations by Day:

Day 1 (August 26): Opening Keynote

Chris Downie, CEO of Flexential, will set the tone for the event with reflections on balancing enterprise and AI-driven demand, regional growth strategies, and the evolving role of infrastructure providers in today’s multi-dimensional digital economy.

Day 2 (August 27): OCP Industry Update

Rob Coyle, Director of Technical Programs at the Open Compute Project Foundation, will present a state-of-the-industry update from OCP, touching on collaborative hardware innovation, energy efficiency, and the impact of open standards in enabling scalable, future-ready infrastructure.

Day 3 (August 28): Closing Co-Keynote

Nancy Novak, Chief Innovation Officer at Compass Data Centers, and Amy Marks, SVP of Innovation at Compass, will close the Summit with a joint keynote exploring how industrialized approaches to construction and innovation in delivery models are reshaping the way data centers are designed, built, and brought online in the AI era.

The Data Center Frontier Trends Summit brings together technical experts, business leaders, and infrastructure stakeholders for a curated three-day experience focused on the trends defining the next generation of data center development. The event includes expert panels, peer-driven discussions, and high-value networking for operators, developers, and decision-makers.

“Each keynote speaker brings a unique vantage point and long track record of industry influence,” added Vincent. “We’re proud to highlight leaders who have been active contributors to our editorial mission and to broader industry progress.”
