Phoenix, AZ; April 1, 2026:  Air₂O today announced that it is now eligible to receive, manage, and safeguard Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) in support of U.S. federal and defense contracts, marking a key milestone in the company’s expansion into secure, regulated government environments.  This development positions Air₂O to more directly support federal agencies, defense contractors, and critical infrastructure programs where cybersecurity, data integrity, and supply chain assurance are non-negotiable.

As the U.S. government accelerates investments in artificial intelligence, digital infrastructure, and mission-critical systems, the need for secure, compliant partners across the infrastructure stack has intensified. Air₂O’s eligibility enables the company to participate in programs requiring the handling of sensitive information, while aligning with the procurement expectations of federal agencies and prime contractors.

Air₂O’s compliance framework aligns with key federal requirements governing the protection of sensitive data, including:

  • NIST SP 800-171 for safeguarding Controlled Unclassified Information
  • DFARS 252.204-7012 for defense contractor cybersecurity compliance
  • 10 CFR Part 1017 for Department of Energy security requirements

The company is also advancing towards Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) Level 2, with a third-party assessment scheduled, further strengthening its readiness to support Department of Defense (DoD) programs and supply chain participation.

To meet these standards, Air₂O has implemented a secure operational environment designed to support federal workloads and protect sensitive information across its lifecycle. This includes U.S.-based data residency, access controls restricted to authorized U.S. persons, and deployment within Microsoft 365 Government Community Cloud (GCC). All systems are fully segregated from commercial environments and accessed through dedicated secure infrastructure, ensuring compliance with federal data handling and transmission requirements.

“At a time when infrastructure is directly tied to national security outcomes, the bar for participation has fundamentally changed,” said Mike Sullivan, CEO. “This milestone enables Air₂O to support federal and defense programs with solutions that are not only high-performing, but secure, compliant, and aligned with the operational realities of government procurement.”

Air₂O’s eligibility strengthens its ability to engage across the federal ecosystem, including direct agency contracts, subcontracting roles with prime integrators, and participation in programs supporting defense, energy, and critical infrastructure modernization. The company’s engineering-first approach to thermal management and system design ensures that performance, reliability, and compliance are delivered as an integrated solution, not separate considerations.

This advancement comes as federal agencies increasingly prioritize secure infrastructure deployment, domestic supply chain integrity, and resilience across digital and physical systems. Air₂O’s capabilities align with these priorities, enabling the company to support initiatives ranging from AI infrastructure and high-performance computing environments to secure industrial and energy systems.

By integrating compliance, cybersecurity, and engineering discipline into its core operations, Air₂O continues to position itself as a trusted partner in the delivery of next-generation infrastructure for government and defense applications.
