Matt Vincent Named Editor in Chief of Data Center Frontier

Veteran B2B journalist Matt Vincent has been named Editor in Chief of Data Center Frontier, and will begin his new post on July 1. Vincent succeeds DCF founder Rich Miller, who will be shifting to a new role as Editor at Large.

Today we are pleased to announce that Matt Vincent has been named Editor in Chief of Data Center Frontier, and will begin his new post on July 1. Matt is a seasoned B2B technology journalist, editor and content producer with more than two decades of experience. Most recently he has served as Senior Editor for multiple publications in Endeavor Business Media's Digital Infrastructure group.

Matt succeeds DCF founder Rich Miller, who will be shifting to a new role as Editor at Large for DCF, where he will continue reporting and writing about the trends shaping the data center industry. Vincent and Miller will join with Senior Editor David Chernicoff in continuing to provide the best in-depth coverage of the data center and cloud computing sectors.

"No one could ever take Rich Miller's place, but as I learn my paces in this new role, I'll embrace the opportunity to be in regular consultation with Rich as he continues ‘along the Frontier’ as Editor at Large. Matt Vincent has been producing and managing content for several publications at DCF parent Endeavor Business Media, including Cabling Installation & Maintenance (CIM), Broadband Technology Report (BTR), and Smart Buildings Technology. He has covered topics across the information and communications technology (ICT) industry, including data centers, ICT structured cabling, telecom and datacom networking, IP physical security, wireless, and Pro AV vertical market segments.

Matt was hired as associate editor in 2005 in what was then PennWell’s Advanced Technology Division (ATD) for the Lightwave and Portable Design publications. He became senior editor with Cabling Installation & Maintenance and Connector Specifier in 2006.His recent accomplishments include starting up podcasts for CIM and Smart Buildings Technology, and leading the growth of several brands’ social media programs.

A 1995 graduate of Indiana University, Bloomington, Matt received a B.A. with honors in English Literature and Creative Writing, he lives in southern NH with his wife and two daughters, and is a musician in his spare time.
