Daelim Belefic Group has announced that its 1,000-kVA dry-type transformer has received UL and cUL certification for the U.S. and Canadian markets, expanding the company's portfolio of certified power distribution equipment.
The three-phase, vacuum pressure encapsulated (VPE) transformer, designated model SGB-1000/0.48-0.48, is intended for integration into a mobile microgrid application in the United States. The company did not identify the project or provide a deployment schedule.
Dry-type transformers use solid insulation and air cooling rather than liquid insulation systems. These characteristics make them suitable for a range of commercial and industrial applications, including data centers where electrical safety, maintenance requirements and installation flexibility are important considerations.
In data center environments, dry-type transformers can support power distribution infrastructure serving IT equipment, cooling systems and other critical facility loads.
The certification announcement comes as Daelim Belefic continues expanding its manufacturing operations in Jiangsu, China. The second phase of that expansion, initiated in 2025, is intended to strengthen production capabilities and improve manufacturing flexibility and delivery efficiency.
Founded in April 2010, Daelim Belefic manufactures power and distribution transformers for commercial and industrial applications. The company reports serving customers in more than 40 countries and identifies manufacturing facilities in China and Houston, Texas, supporting its international power distribution business.
